Activities, Music, Food, & More

The celebration will feature speakers, crafts, games, photographs showcasing Bug Light, information from organizations dedicated to preserving Maine's lighthouses, actors dressed as Lighthouse Keepers, book sales, a poetry table, a U.S. Coast Guard display, a story walk and much more! The Ideal Maine Band will kick off the event, and food trucks will be available throughout the day.

Free Parking

Parking for the celebration will be available both on-site and at the SMCC parking lot on Broadway, with vans providing transportation to the park for those who need accessibility accommodations.

John Reinhart will be hosting a table at the celebration, where he will inspire and guide participants in writing poetry about lighthouses.
